About KAN
My vision
I’m Pjotr van Kan: artistic decor designer from the Netherlands. Through my designs, I create an experience that touches people in the depths of their emotions. With this vision I founded KAN Creations: for the love of creation.
In the world of design, it’s all about creating moments of happiness: new and inspiring places that overwhelm and excite and make you long for more. I always apply those elements to every one of my designs, whether it’s a stage design for a large-scale festival, a creative artwork or a visualization. From the moment that ideas are born, I ensure that they are brought to life.

I successfully completed a four-year study in Spatial Design in Breda, and a four-year study in Design, Spatial Presentation and Communication with a specialization in Store, Decor and Exhibition Stand Design in Utrecht. Following my studies, I started working as a decor and concept designer at Stagekings, designing stages for the largest dance festivals around the world.
My story
I have been designing decors and experiences for over 12 years now. In 2020, I founded KAN Creations and I have since designed over 80+ unique projects under my own name. My work blends visual and emotional experience with sustainability, creating a unique experience for festivals and events. Guided by a strong sense of beauty, I create designs that are attractive, innovative and experience-based. The worlds I shape are unlike anything you have ever seen before.

Inspiration comes to me from many sources: nature, music, art and my love for travel. The freedom I experience while exploring the world is reflected in my work, where I seek to create a magical experience of pure joy and ecstasy. I often design while listening to music, music in itself being an art form, transporting people to different places and enhancing emotions.

My approach is deeply intuitive. When I’m designing, it’s a feeling of flow where shapes, emotions and ideas are translated into reality. I trust my creative instincts to guide me in creating designs that resonate with the audience and align perfectly with the atmosphere of an event.
